Closed, it says nothing. A near-perfect square of shark skin, dark as the water it came from, with a single cream stitch line running its perimeter. Open it, and the contrast arrives without warning — pale Italian vachetta, more shark skin pockets, and a black velour sheepskin lining that finishes the piece like a full stop. Hand saddle-stitched with Crimson Hides thread. The best things rarely reveal themselves all at once.
