The navy "Buttero" from Walpier's Tuscan tannery has a particular quality to it: smooth under the fingers, dense with structure, the kind of blue that deepens rather than fades as the leather settles into its life. Inside, warm "Palmelato" card pockets — cross-hatched, almost tactile to look at — open against a panel of natural sheepskin, soft enough to feel like something kept close for years. Cut and stitched entirely by hand, #31 carries no decoration beyond its own making. It asks nothing of you except to be used.
